Yay! May 28th Box
This month's box was a selection of sweets called "Orion Okashibako" (Orion Candy Box). This email explains everything that is in the box, this time along with links in case you want to show someone a specific item.
What's in it?
Love-tomo Ramune
Love-tomo here means "best friends". There is also a small sticker inside. There are various different varieties of stickers, so what you get will probably differ from others who received this box! The slogan on the package encourages "let's always be best friends!".

Cocoa Cigaretto
These candy sticks are ramune-based, but contain cocoa powder to set them apart from other ramune-based sweets. These kinds of cigarette-resembling sweets used to be popular in older times, but after 80s their sales stopped.

This brand remains as the only one available for those that really want to get nostalgic with this type of Japanese old time style candy.
Little Bobdog
These are ramune with the flavors soda, strawberry and cola.

Ume Mints & Mini Vita C
Ume mints are plum flavored mints, perhaps my personal favorite in this package. Mini Vita C is mimicking the taste of a popular Japanese energy drink called "Dekavita C" and catches the "energy drink" flavor quite well.

Camera Ramune
This box of ramune looks like an old-style film camera. The idea is that when you press the shutter button, candy comes out. To try it, remove the red sticker. Then when you press the shutter, the lens hole opens and you can shake some candy out.

Mini Can Ramune
These three cans are shaped like drink cans. The candies inside taste like soda, cola and peach. They are called "mini sour", "mini cola" and "mini peach".

Three Pyramids
The pyramid-shaped small containers contains very tiny chocolates. The tastes are fruity chocolate, milk chocolate and coffee chocolate.

Crayon Shin-chan Ramune Chocobi
Crunchy star-shaped chocolates. Crayon Shin-chan is a very popular character that is featured in comics and anime. You live in Japan without seeing the character pasted over all kinds of products or being featured in the movie theater.

Life in Japan
We had a CouchSurfer visit from Germany yesterday. Being a host is very rewarding. Anyone at all into meeting people from different countries should have a CouchSurfing profile.
Other than that I just spent a huge chunk of time researching these items. Below you can see all the contents of this box (not all the packages, but all the candy). Except some I had to eat. For science. I think the ume plum mints are the best! Surely I wouldn't waste time by making a gif animation of this.
